The National Drug & Poison Information Center (DPIC) is nationwide source of information where it’s staff provides objective, expert drug and poison information to the public and healthcare professionals.

Mission:
Our mission is to provide evidence-based drug & poison information to improve the lives of the citizens of Saudi Arabia.
Objectives:
- Building a comprehensive, internet based National Drug & Poison information Center.
- Providing evidence-based drug and poison information to both public and healthcare professionals.
- Providing evidence-based information on poison management and prevention.
- Publishing drug information newsletters specifically for public and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the peer reviewed scientific literature.
- Providing both experiential and didactic training in drug information for both pharmacy students and SFDA staff.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to drug information requests from the public, policy makers and healthcare professionals.
- Participating in developing and maintaining the Saudi National Formulary (SNF).
- Participating in the development of national drug policies.
- Providing 24hrs poison information services.
- Remain current on topics of drug safety and effectiveness worldwide.
- Participating in public health education and awareness programs.
- Participating in clinical trials protocol evaluation.
