The SFDA has received an invitation to participate in the competition of digital distinction (Raqmi), in its fourth yea,r which is organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. The Ministry concentrates on the Arabic content on internet in order to motivate initiatives that enrich digital Arabic contents as well as educate people about the importance of having distinct Arabic websites to serve the community. It also seeks to utilize several capabilities and facilities to make this prize goes along with the level of expectations and goals set for it.
It worth mentioning that the SFDA has gained the first position in Raqmi's Prize – the branch of electronic health in the last year, 2007. The SFDA received the prize as a result of its hard work and continuous effort toward achieving best quality levels in designing and operating the website. Several effective mechanisms have been developed and used to publish reports, news and to follow up the performance and efficiency of the site periodically.
In spite of the fact that the web site is new, the number of its visitors has grown obviously; since the average of it has increased from 9000 visitor monthly (at the beginning of year 2007) to 31.000, which equals 280% growth rate.
