The SFDA Ended the Workshops of Regulating Cosmetics in the Kingdom

The SFDA, represented by its drug sector, ended on the last Wednesday the activities of the workshops of regulating cosmetics in the Kingdom which were held in the Chambers of Commerce in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam; attended by concerned people whom represent the government and private sectors as well as professionals in this field.
The workshops included introducing international experiences in field of regulating cosmetics in order to make use of them in setting a comprehensive system of cosmetics in Saudi Arabia, reviewing the viewpoint of government and private sectors as well as concerned people about international regulations related to cosmetics; aiming to set a system of cosmetics that insures their safety and accomplishes the interests of all relative parts.
Several problems face workers in this field and ways of solving them have been discussed in a way that reflects the concept of transparency that the SFAD believe in.
In addition, the issue of cosmetics deceiving and health hazards that may occur because of them has been discussed with some participated doctors.
Main aspects that have been argued about are:
1- Importing cosmetics
2- Manufacturing cosmetics
3- Storing cosmetics
4- Deceiving in cosmetics
5- Announcing about cosmetics
6- Registering and admitting cosmetics
7- Factors and distributors of cosmetics, and other relative issues.
