The SFDA, represented by its Drug Sector, organized the third course of its Medical Education Program about fitness medicines and cosmetics, in order to raise the level of education related to health and drugs as well as warn consumers against fitness and cosmetics products.
The program activities were set in Hayat Mall in Riyadh from 3-6-1430H to 4-6-1430H. The activities, that pleased and satisfied the audiences, included a display about the mission, vision and duties of the SFDA and a dramatic showing for children; anasheed, competitions and animated cartoons. In addition, numbers of educational brochures were distributed such as: (Cosmetic safety), (Whitening Skin Products), (How to Report about Poor Quality Herbal Drugs and Products), (How to Report about Drugs Side Effects), (Obesity) and others.
Moreover, a number of Drug Sector pharmacists delivered directional information about fitness products and cosmetics.
The program will be set again in Assalam Mall from 10\11-6-1430H, and then in Granada Center from 17\18-6-1430H.
