The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), represented by the National Nutrition Committee (NNC), has officially launched the Saudi Food Composition Database. Developed in collaboration with the Health Sector Transformation Program, this strategic initiative aims to empower researchers, healthcare practitioners, and the general public to make informed, health-conscious dietary choices.

H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Operating under a comprehensive plan for the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has strengthened the inspection teams’ efforts across all regions of the Kingdom. This initiative aims to enhance regulatory compliance among establishments under its supervision and verify that products meet quality and safety standards, thereby protecting consumers and limiting the circulation of non-compliant products.

During a field visit to the Madinah region, H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), inspected several factories and warehouses specializing in the preparation, processing, and storage of meals for pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. The visit is part of the SFDA's intensive preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, met today in Jeddah with industry leaders from the food, drug, and medical device sectors. Organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and attended by the First Vice Chairman, Mr. Raed Ibrahim Al-Mudaiheem, the meeting is part of periodic sessions held by the Authority across the Kingdom, reflecting its commitment to strengthening the investment environment in the sectors under its supervision.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) organized an interactive workshop at its headquarters in Riyadh to review artificial intelligence (AI) tools and digital solutions designed to support the national food safety system. The workshop highlighted modern technologies implemented in food factories and their impact on compliance with quality and safety standards. This initiative is part of the SFDA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening product safety under its supervision.
