SFDA Participates in the GCC Drug Pricing Task Force Meeting

In line with SFDA Drug Sector concerns regarding creation of standard Drug Pricing mechanism for GCC countries, Drug Sector had participated in the 2nd. Meeting of GCC Drug Pricing Task Force, held in Kuwait during the period 11-12 Rabi II,1432H. SFDA was represented in this meeting by H.E Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Bawazir, Vice President for Drug Affairs and Pricing Unit executives<br />
The meeting discussed how to establish a mechanism for Standardization of Drug Prices in GCC Countries by setting the appropriate rules for pricing of the centrally registered drugs in the GCC countries and establishment of a Pricing Unit in GCC Health Ministers’ Executive Office , reviewing the profit margins in each country and building drug prices data base for GCC countries<br />
It worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by a variety of professionals and interested groups from GCC Countries</p>
