SFDA and Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) Sign MoU to Enhance Medication Safety

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) to enhance cooperation in medication safety and facilitate the exchange of relevant statistical data and scientific materials, advancing shared objectives for both entities.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Adel bin Abdullah Al Harf, Vice President of the Drug Sector, on behalf of the SFDA, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Jedai, President of the SSCP.

As a specialized entity for clinical pharmacy and patient care in Saudi Arabia, the SSCP promotes clinical pharmacists as essential medical team members and trusted sources of drug information, ensuring proper treatment selection and safe medication use.

This agreement aims to strengthen partnership and integration in delivering community awareness programs, advisory services, training workshops, and educational lectures. Additionally, it fosters joint participation in scientific committees and supports research in therapeutic safety, pharmacoeconomics, and pharmaceutical innovation.
