SFDA Restricts Imports of Poultry Meat from Two States in USA

SFDA restricted temporarily imports of poultry meat, table eggs and their products from Kansas and Arkansas States in USA due to spread of severe bird flu in these states. These states are added to 6 other states ( Oregon, California, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota and Missouri) from which SFDA recently restricted imports of poultry meat, table eggs and their products due to the same reason.

In a statement, SFDA explained that it excluded from this temporary restriction poultry meat, table eggs and their products which are treated thermally , or by any other means to overcome bird flu virus , provided that the products shall be accompanied by health certificate proving that they comply with health requirements and approved standard specifications, issued by the respective official authorities in USA.

SFDA pointed out that this temporary restriction will continue until health conditions will be stable and approval of  poultry meat and products exporting organizations therein.
