SFDA" Eliminates Manipulation of imported food products specifications via electronic registration of 600 Thousand Products

SFDA Held up to22 workshops to train food supply chain representatives, companies and customs agents on electronic registration of food products.

"Imported food registration" program, can make the consumer to search for products he uses through its database, to know its characteristics, and country of origin and related warnings, if any.

And it reduces clearance procedures for food products from 3 days to hours, and facilitates the steps in audit and control procedures, and provides products trace, and create a detailed information service, shows the volume of goods available on the domestic market and imported from abroad.

The program opens channels between SFDA and the supplier companies, which is allowed to exchange information with transparency and clarity on the goods, from the moment they arrive to the ports until it allowed to enter or rejected.

SDFA provided imported food registration electronically free of charge for importers, in its effort to ensure safety and quality of imported food, from production phase and until arrival to consumers.
