Transparency and Disclosure

The Disclosure and Transparency Service is one of the services provided by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This service aims to enhance transparency between external private entities and the SFDA by facilitating annual disclosure (at the beginning of the calendar year) and reporting all financial or in-kind transactions that have taken place between these entities and healthcare practitioners, healthcare institutions, or charitable organizations.

The Electronic Services at the Food Sector It’s an electronic programs designed to build up & develop a database for all establishments of imported or locally produced foodstuff, including names of domestic and foreign food companies, their authorized agents, warehouses, and food products which are licensed and registered in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

AFNR is an electronic system aims to register and build up database for all Feed establishment(s): National or foreign that are engaged in importing, exporting, manufacturing, transporting, handling, storing and distributing feed materials and non-medicated feed additives. AFNR-registered establishment(s) can receive news, updates, and access other electronic services from SFDA about feed.

National Center for Medical Devices Reporting

National Center for Medical Devices Reporting ( NCMDR ) A systematic database to manage medical devices' post-market activities, such as Medical devices reporting of Adverse events and complaints, as well as publishing the Safety alerts of Medical devices with follow-up implementation of the corrective actions to ensure the safety, efficacy and performance of medical devices.

Product Classification System (PCS)

SFDA established Product Classification System for companies to classify their products and get to know the eligibility of products and whether it is subject to registration. The classification exclusively based on the SFDA criteria and products classification guidance. It is an optional service for companies and does not replace registration for other SFDA electronic systems

Approval of technical and clinical specifications for medical radioactive materials

electronic system through which requests for approval of technical and clinical specifications for medical radioactive materials for the benefit of medical establishment are received which requested by importer, re-exporter and transporter establishments of these materials, and then approval of technical and clinical specifications is issued, before applying for importing or re-exporting clearance
