Al-Jalajel Reviews the SFDA’s Hajj Preparedness at the Operations Center in Makkah

H.E. Mr. Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), visited the SFDA’s Hajj Operations Centre in Makkah, where he was received by the Chief Executive Officer, H.E. Prof. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey.

During the visit, Mr. Al-Jalajel reviewed the efforts undertaken by the SFDA and the progress of its operations during the Hajj season, in line with the approved operational plan and its active contribution to ensuring the safety of food and drug products provided to pilgrims.

He toured the SFDA’s the Center, which serves as the central communication point with field inspectors, facilitates coordination with partner government entities, and monitors performance indicators related to inspection visits using advanced technologies.

Officials from the SFDA delivered a presentation highlighting the latest figures and statistics related to food and drug safety, the key regulatory procedures implemented during inspection activities, and the digital systems deployed to support regulatory oversight throughout the season.

This visit is part of the Minister’s field tours aimed at assessing the performance of health-related entities and ensuring their full readiness to serve the pilgrims of the Holy Mosque, reflecting the Saudi leadership’s unwavering dedication to providing integrated, high-quality services to the Guests of God.
