2025-12-23

The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, received a group of students from Al Fateh School today, Tuesday, at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the SFDA’s regulatory, oversight, and awareness-raising roles in protecting consumer health and ensuring the safety of food, drugs, and medical devices.

During the meeting, Dr. Aljadhey emphasized the importance of instilling health awareness through early education. He noted that building knowledge from a young age fosters a sense of responsibility among the youth and encourages the adoption of sound nutritional and pharmaceutical practices within the community.

The students were briefed on the SFDA’s core responsibilities, including its role in monitoring the food and drug supply chain and its ongoing efforts to develop robust national regulations and legislation.

As part of the visit, the students toured the SFDA Interactive Awareness Center, where they explored food and drug safety concepts through visual content and interactive stations. These exhibits are specifically designed to simplify information and maximize engagement.

This visit is part of the SFDA’s ongoing awareness programs aimed at promoting a culture of health and strengthening community partnerships.
