2026-06-15
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has officially announced the opening of submissions for its sixth annual Regulatory Research Day 2026. The event, scheduled to take place this November at the SFDA headquarters in Riyadh, will feature scientific contributions from researchers.
The SFDA stated that the submission window for scientific posters is open from June 15 to September 17, 2026. The Authority invites scientists and researchers to submit their work in accordance with the event's approved themes.
The Authority explained that submissions must address critical areas of regulatory science, including evaluating product efficacy, safety, and quality; supporting and advancing regulatory ecosystem in legislation and decision-making; and measuring the impact and effectiveness of regulatory procedures in achieving intended objectives.
Eligible researchers must be affiliated with a university, research center, government entity, or healthcare organization. All projects must directly align with the themes of Regulatory Research Day and strictly adhere to specified terms and conditions of participation.
The 2026 edition will feature a diverse program, including keynote lectures and scientific presentations exploring the latest developments in product safety, the development of regulatory systems, and the role of regulatory research to drive evidence-based decision-making. In parallel, a "Scientific Poster Exhibition" will showcase pioneering studies relevant to the SFDA’s mandate addressing the regulatory, public health, legislative, and economic implications.
The SFDA views scientific research as a fundamental strategic pillar to foster innovation, elevate the local scientific ecosystem, and solidify the Kingdom’s regional and global standing. By pioneering evidence-based regulatory science, the Authority continues to reinforce its position among the world's leading regulatory bodies, in direct alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
