The SFDA and ANSES (France) Partner on Veterinary Medicines via MoU

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on the management of veterinary medicinal products. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and facilitate the exchange of information and expertise between the two parties.
The signing took place in Paris, France, during the official visit of H.E. Mr. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, the Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the SFDA Board of Directors.
The MoU's objectives include enhancing cooperation in veterinary medicine, participating jointly in international forums, exchanging expertise to improve the efficiency of scientific evaluations, transferring knowledge, and coordinating the registration of approved products in France.
Key areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include cross-training on the quality, safety, and efficacy of veterinary medicinal and biological products, as well as sharing expertise and knowledge in antimicrobial resistance, post-marketing control, regulatory affairs, and registration requirements.
This MoU reflects a commitment to collaborating with international counterparts to align efforts on shared priorities, develop policies, build capabilities, train technical staff, and adopt leading practices.
