2026-01-27
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with the Food Industries Polytechnic (FIP) to strengthen collaboration in the training and qualification of national cadres, focusing on building specialized human capital in fields shared by both organizations.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh on January 26–27. The SFDA was represented by Mr. Ayman Alfahad, Assistant CEO for Human Capital, while the FIP was represented by its CEO, Mr. Ibrahim Aleqaily.
The MoC establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration in areas of mutual interest, specifically aiming to enhance food safety, support the Saudi Arabia’s food industry in achieving the highest quality and safety standards, and provide advanced training and professional qualification programs.
This initiative stems from the SFDA's leading role in regulating and monitoring the food and drug sectors to ensure their safety and quality, in line with the highest health standards for society. Furthermore, it reinforces the SFDA's role in empowering businesses and enhancing the readiness of individuals seeking employment.
The FIP is a key program under the National Center for Strategic Partnerships (NCSP), in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). It is dedicated to supporting the labor market with highly skilled professionals capable of driving innovation and growth within the food industry sector.
