The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) organized an interactive workshop at its headquarters in Riyadh to review artificial intelligence (AI) tools and digital solutions designed to support the national food safety system. The workshop highlighted modern technologies implemented in food factories and their impact on compliance with quality and safety standards. This initiative is part of the SFDA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening product safety under its supervision.

Several leading food companies in the Kingdom participated in the workshop, which emphasized the importance of employing advanced technological solutions to improve production efficiency, enhance control systems, and support compliance with approved technical regulations

Participating companies delivered presentations showcasing their experiences in applying modern technologies to improve product quality and develop mechanisms for monitoring equipment and production lines. These efforts contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Saudi products both locally and internationally, while reinforcing consumer confidence.

During the workshop, the SFDA emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise with the private sector, adopting best practices, and raising compliance levels.
