H.E. the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Food & Drug Authority, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal inaugurated Saturday evening 20/9/1432H, the 3rd. philanthropic “Photography Exhibition” entitled: “You are my hope, after Allah” which was executed by the Saudi Society for Cancer Combating” at Gharnata Commercial Center in Riyadh.
More than 40 photographers from different ages and categories have participated in this exhibition in coordination with Arab Lens Website.

SFDA has continued its business during Eid holidays in its main offices and sub-branches as well as points of entry of food, drug and medical devices & products sectors in order to complete clearance processes. At his part, Dr. Mohammed Al Kanhal, CEO of SFDA has explained that a number of employees in the various SFDA sectors were assigned to finish work procedures during Eid Al Fitre holidays in all critical locations and that SFDA inspectors and supervisors will continue with their control and inspection role.

Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Rasheed reviewed this Tuesday 12/7/1432H the advanced technologies adopted by SFDA to ensure safety of food and security and efficacy of drug and medical devices & products.

In continuation of SFDA’s effort in following up updates about EHEC bacteria infections in Federal Republic of Germany and a number of EU states.
And, upon reviewing the reports received from the International Food Safety Network (INFOSAN), EU Commission and other control authorities in Federal Republic of Germany about this incident, which contained information indicating that the origin of this problem is Germany and no evidence to prove that they are transported from other EU countries

Within the Framework of Awareness and Educational Programs and Activities, conducted by SFDA Drug Sector to raise citizens and expatriates awareness about the adverse effects of drug consumption, the first activities of drug awareness program will take place tomorrow, Wednesday in several cities of the Kingdom beginning with Al Madinah. The objectives of the 4th. version of the awareness program activities are to make citizens and expatriates aware of drug taking mistakes, increase drug knowledge and introduce SFDA functions and responsibilities.

SFDA delegation participated in the first round of the Joint Saudi- Czech Committee Meetings held in Prague, Czech Republic, during the period 29 May-03 June 2011. SFDA was represented in these meetings by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al Ghonaim- Designated Executive Director of Food Control Department and H.E. Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Ghariri, Executive Director of International Cooperation Department.
