طورت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة في قطاع الدواء مسودة الهيكل الإجرائي لترخيص الأدوية ( Regulatory Framework for Drug Approvals )، وذلك استنادا لما ورد في نظام الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء الصادر بالأمر السامي الكريم رقم 1 وتاريخ 7/1/1424هـ والذي ينص على أن تتولى الهيئة تنظيم ومراقبة كل ما يتعلق بالدواء.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal the acting vice executive president of the SFDA inaugurated the first session of discussing food regulation items in the headquarter of Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh, and revealed that the duty of monitoring imported food is about to be transformed completely from the Ministry of Commerce to the SFDA within two months, confirming that the coming duties will be monitoring food plants then food establishments that selling food to consumers directly.

The SFDA, represented by its food sector, intends to organize a workshop entitled: '' General Vision for a National Plan to Examine Residues of Drugs and Hormones in Food of Animal Origin" lectured by Dr. Baveules Economedis, an European Union Expert, on Wednesday 17-9-1429H that equals 17-9-2008, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. in the lectures hall at the SFDA headquarter.

The SFDA, represented by its food sector, organized a workshop entitled General Vision of a National Plan to Examine Residues of Drugs and Hormones in Food of Animal Origin''; lectured by Dr. Baveules Economedis, an European Union Expert, on Wednesday afternoon, 17-9-1429H that equals 17-9-2008, in the SFDA headquarter.

تواصل الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء بناء الأنظمة اللازمة للحصول على شهادة المطابقة العالمية لأمن المعلومات ISO 27001، وتمنح المنظمة العالمية للمواصفات القياسية (ISO) هذه الشهادة بهدف تطوير المواصفات والمعايير التي تتعلق بطريقة إدارة أمن المعلومات. هذا وقد تم اعتماد تلك المواصفات رسميا من قبل الـ (ISO) في عام 2005. كما يمكن تطبيق هذه المواصفات والمعايير على أي منظمة أيا كان حجمها، إلا أن صعوبة تطبيقها تختلف حسب حجم المنظمة وكثافة إجراءات العمل المستخدمة فيها.

The SFDA held a reception and congratulatory party in its headquarter to celebrate the occasion of Eid Alfitr. His Excellency, the acting executive president of SFDA Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal headed the attendance with a number of high officials and SFDA employees. During the meeting people exchange greetings and congratulations in this connection wishing to the KSA continuous glory and asking God to repeat the Eid with prosperity and faith for the Islamic and Arab nation.

Cooperating with Ministry of Higher Education, the SFDA has ended its program of stipend to obtain bachelor and postgraduate degrees, within the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in different majors related to the SFDA work as: food sciences, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, law, accounting and information technology.

The SFDA organizes a workshop entitled "Food Safety is Everybody Responsibility" within the first national campaign of food safety awareness named "No for Food Poisoning" which started on Tuesday 28-10 to 5-11- 1429H, while the workshop will start on the coming Sunday 4-11-1429H that equals 2-11-2008, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the lectures hall of the SFDA headquarter.
