During a ceremony held by the SFDA on Wednesday the 15th of Safar, 1429H that equals the 10th of February, 2009, to honor effective participants in the competition of the first national campaign of food safety awareness which entitled "No for Food Poisoning", the SFDA has withdrawn names of winners.

The last poll raised in the SFDA intranet portal was about the issue of being infected with food poisoning and to what extent it affects people, results showed big increase in number of infection cases. 15.20% of participants were infected alone by food poisoning, while 22.39% of them were infected with some of their family members. Therefore, 37.59% of people from 3501 participatnts in the poll had caught the infection. Yet, 62.41% had no any infection.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamad bin Ahmad Alkanhal, Executive President of the SFDA welcomed the delegation of the GCC Standardization Organization headed by its Secretary General Dr. Anwar Alabdullah.
