The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, today launched an Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) at the LEAP 2025 conference. The laboratory will serve as a specialized center for the development and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, aimed at enhancing innovation and optimizing regulatory and operational processes within the SFDA.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has achieved a significant milestone by securing a spot among the top 10 government entities in the third round of the 2025 Emerging Technologies Readiness Index. This recognition, awarded for the second consecutive year, evaluates how well government entities adopt emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and achieve strategic advantages.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is participating in the LEAP 2025 Tech Conference, held under the slogan "Into New Worlds". The SFDA aims to showcase the latest smart technologies and digital solutions that enhance product safety, ensure the availability of medicines, and raise awareness of the Authority's areas of work.
