Saudi FDA participated in the 3rd. Poultry Producers Forum organized by the Cooperative Poultry Producers Society in the Kingdom, under the auspice of H.E. Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Fahad bin Abdul Rahman Bal Ghonaim, at Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel, on Saturday 22/6/1431 AH, corresponding to 5/6/2010G. The forum was accompanied with a dedicated exhibition wherein major poultry producers, importers and respective government entities have participated. H.E. Minister of Agriculture visited SFDA stand, represented in this forum by Food Sector.

H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, SFDA President, chaired the second session of Consumer Protection Symposium in Saudi Arabia entitled" Global Insights & Experiences", Last Sunday 1/7/1431AH. The Symposium was organized by the Institute of Public Administration and held at Ibn Khaldoun Hall of Prince Sulman Conference Center at the Institute of Public Administration Headquarters in Riyadh

H.E. SFDA President, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal welcomed HRH Prince Sultan bin Mohammad bin Saud Al Kabeer, Chairman of Al Marai Board of Directors, last Thursday 3/6/1431 AH at SFDA Head Office. HRH Prince Sultan viewed SFDA Sectors, activities, goals and objectives and procedural, execution and control and monitoring tasks performed by SFDA to ensure safety of food and drugs for the use human beings and animal, safety of biotic and chemical products electronic products impacting human health at food, drug and medical devices level. H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al Kanhal, CEO of the Saudi FDA met in Jeddah yesterday, Tuesday 10/7/1431 AH, with H.E Dr. Khalid Abu Bushayt, CEO of the Saudi Ports Authority in order to discuss cooperation aspects between SFDA & Saudi Ports Authority with regard to entry of imported food and drug to the Kingdom. H.E.CEO of the Saudi FDA paid a visit to the allocated SFDA buildings within the ports to control the safety, security and validity of imported food and drug from abroad.

في إطار البرامج والفعاليات التوعوية والتثقيفية التي يقوم بها قطاع الدواء بالهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء من اجل توعية المواطن و المقيم وحمايته من الجوانب السلبية لاستهلاك الأدوية . يعتزم قطاع الدواء إطلاق فعاليات برنامج التثقيف الدوائي لصيف 1431 هـ والذي يهدف الي توعية المواطنين والمقيمين بأخطاء استعمال الادوية ، ورفع مستوى الثقافة الدوائية ، والتعريف بمهام ومسؤليات الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء.
الجدير بالذكر أن أولى برامج التثقيف الدوائي ستكون في مركز سماح سنتر بمدينة حائل خلال الفترة من 18 / 7 / 1431 هـ وحتى 19 / 7 / 1431 هـ .

HRH Prince Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Kabeer, Chairman of Al Marai Board of Directors expressed his thanks and appreciation to SFDA in a letter sent to H.E Dr. Mohammed Al Kanhal, President of SFDA, after HRH recent visit to SFDA, praising t he efforts exerted by SFDA Team, the high morale, true interest and high scientific level of SFDA staff, referring this to the policy of SFDA executives in soliciting high profile and experienced staff.

حثت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء المواطنين الذين يعتزمون السفر خارج السعودية إلى بعض الدول العربية أو الأجنبية إلى اخذ الحيطة والحذر عند طلب الأطعمة من مواقع مجهولة يتم توزيع المنشورات الدعائية الخاصة بها في الشوارع أو الشقق المفروشة حيث تروج للأكلات المحلية والخليجية لجذب المواطنين.

أعلنت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء السماح ببيع بعض المستحضرات الصيدلانية المحددة في غير الصيدليات وذلك اعتماداً على قرارات لجنة تسجيل شركات الأدوية ومنتجاتها و لجنة تسجيل المستحضرات الصحية والعشبية, حيث سمح القرار لمحلات بيع المواد الغذائية داخل المدن والتي تتوفر بها ظروف ومتطلبات تخزين المستحضرات الصيدلانية على مدار الساعة مثل (محلات بيع المواد الغذائية المتوسطة والكبيرة) ومحلات بيع المواد الغذائية على الطرق السريعة والتي تعمل على مدار الساعة ببيع تلك المستحضرات.
