Answer

The establishment has to fill the self-audit form stamped by the competent authority then sending it to the SFDA through the diplomatic channels. What are the exporting requirements to Saudi Arabia through a third country (transit transport)?


Answer

All products subject to the supervision of the SFDA, according to their classification, have clearance requirements, as well as conditions of transportation and storage. All of the requirements are published at the SFDA’s website. However, some products are not allowed to be exported through a third country (such as drug, fish and meat) except for specific conditions.

Answer

It is a center that handles clearance requests and releases all products subject to the supervision of the SFDA through which a unified procedure is applied, based on technical standards and requirements that must be met at the clearance stage,There are three centers for the regions of Saudi Arabia. (central, eastern and western)

In case of the rejection of an imported consignment, are there further requirements on the supervisory authority in the exporting country and the manufacturing or exporting company?


Answer

All clearance conditions and requirements shall be met by both the exporter and importer.

It is based on the SFDA’s team plan and visit schedule

Is it possible to object to the report of the results of a visit to an external establishment or country, what is the mechanism for that?


Answer

Yes, by sending an email to: icd@sfda.gov.sa

What is the SFDA’s inspection process for an establishment who want to export their products to KSA?


Answer

Inspection of establishments (onsite or remote Inspection) can be done accordingly if the competent authority in the country sends a request through the diplomatic channels to the Saudi FDA specifying the establishment's details.
