H.E  The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal, received at SFDA’s Head Office today the Ambassador of the Netherlands to the kingdom, Mr. Laurence  Westhof and the Agricultural Chancellor, Mr. Hans Van Derbik. The meeting was also attended by H.E. SFDA VP for Food Sector, Dr.

H.E  The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal valued the Cabinet Decision regarding "Energy Drinks", and described this decision as  "Strict Control" to reduce the risks of this drink. This decision is to protect the citizens, particularly the youth, as they are the segment that will be affected by "deceptive" Energy Drinks ads. and he said that this move by the Council of Ministers, was based on the scientific studies on the components of these drinks.

The meeting was also attended by H.E. SFDA VP for Food Sector, Dr. Salah Almiman and Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Ghareeri, the Executive Director for International Cooperation and a number of SFDA Executives. H.E.

H.E The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal, received at SFDA’s Head Office the President of the Saudi-British Business Council Eng. Nasser Al-Mutawa and his accompanying delegation of Saudi-British Business Council and Trade and Investment Authority.

SFDA, represented by Medical Devices &Products sector  participated in the International Radiology Medicine Conference , held during the period 16 to 20 Rabi II (16-20 February ) at the InterContinental Hotel, with participation of 65 international speakers and 120 local speakers. The conference discussed clinical applications and future developments in the various fields of radiology diagnostic and therapeutic applications, as well as in the field of radiation protection, during workshops.

SFDA, represented by the Executive Department of Public Relations and Media, organized a lecture entitled: "Types of Cancer and ways of prevention & treatment "  The lecture was delivered to SFDA employees in collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, represented by Oncology Center. the speech was delivered by Oncology consultant Dr. Adhar Ben Dhia Al Sayed on Monday 10/04/1435 AH.
