The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, met today in Santiago with Dr. Andreas Hensel, the President of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). The meeting was held as part of the bilateral engagements on the sidelines of the 6th meeting of the International Heads of Food Agencies Forum (IHFAF), held in Chile from April 9-11, 2025. 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, participated in the third edition of the World Local Production Forum (WLPF) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from April 7-9, 2025. The forum was organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Emirates Drug Establishment (EAE) under the theme "Advancing Local Production for Health Equity, Global Health Security, and Sustainable Development.” 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, met on Tuesday with the Chief Executive of Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), Dr. Yasuhiro Fujiwara, and the Councilor for Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW), Dr. Daisaku Sato. The meeting was held at the MHLW headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, with the attendance of officials from both sides.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) convened a roundtable meeting with leading Japanese companies in Tokyo, Japan. H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, the Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA, was joined by representatives from prominent Japanese companies operating in the food, drug, and medical device sectors.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, held a bilateral meeting today, Monday, with the Chairperson of the Food Safety Commission of Japan (FSCJ), Dr. YAMAMOTO Shigeki, in Tokyo, Japan. The meeting was attended by Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Ghazi bin Faisal bin Zaqr and officials from both sides.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, led the SFDA’s delegation at the 27th Management Committee Meeting of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF) in Tokyo, Japan, from March 10-14, 2024.

This participation follows the SFDA's recent membership in the IMDRF in September 2023, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing its international and regional leadership in medical device regulation.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Authority's employees, extended his warmest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HM King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz—may Allah protect them—on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them good health and wellness.

During his visit to the European Commission, the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey met with the CEO of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), Mr. Richard Zaltzman, in Brussels, Belgium. 

As part of the SFDA ongoing efforts to enhance global partnerships and ensure the highest standards of food and drug safety, H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), met today with H.E. Ms. Sandra Gallina, Director-General for Health and Food Safety for the European Commission, at the Commission’s headquarters in Brussels. The meeting was also attended by H.E. Ms. Haifa Al Jedaie, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the European Union. 

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey today opened a roundtable meeting in Brussels, bringing together key European officials and business leaders. Participants included representatives from the European Commission's Directorates-General for Health and Food Safety, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Trade, along with members of relevant European Council working groups and CEOs of leading European companies operating in sectors aligned with the SFDA's remit.
