H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, Chief Executive Officer of SFDA emphasized the importance of giving due care in inspection of imported food at SFDA Direct Clearance Offices at the points of entry, particularly fish shipments arriving from the Arabian Gulf, to ensure that they are not contaminated with human remains & microbes. This comes as a precautionary action, as some Gulf States drain untreated sewage and waste into the sea. Dr.

Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, the Chief Executive officer of Saudi Food & Drug Authority emphasized that SFDA considers Businessmen as partners in the success of SFDA monitoring and control mandate  through their commitment to the standards, conditions and requirements of manufacturing and import of food, drugs and medical devices & products.

In view of its concerns about stakeholder awareness and requesting their public opinion regarding the development, updating and adoption of food products specifications, for guidance, and in order to avoid any technical issues during enforcement of same.

​H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed A Kanhal, Chief Executive Officer of SFDA welcomed today Mr. Avilino Brito, Head of the Spanish Standards Committee ‘AENOR’ at SFDA Head Office in Riyadh. The purpose of the visit was to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the two organizations in th e field of food, drug and medical and diagnostic devices & products in SFDA endeavors to achieve its mission of assurance of safety of food, safety and efficiency of medical devices and products.

​H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed A Kanhal, Chief Executive Officer of SFDA welcomed today Mr. Ahmed Mukhtar Ghoun, the Ambassador of Turkey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at SFDA Head Office in Riyadh. This visit comes in line with friendship relations between the two countries.

​H.E Chief Executive officer of Saudi Food & Drug Authority delivered yesterday a lecture about SFDA tasks in Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where he was received by Sheikh Saleh Kamil, Chairman of the Board of Chamber of Commerce & Industry

SFDA has participated in the International Food & Drug Day Exhibition organized by King Saud University in Riyadh, on Saturday 18/11/1432H> The opening ceremony of the exhibition was sponsored by Dr. Tariq Al Raies, Dean of Student Affairs-KSU.
