In line with SFDA’s concerns about evaluation of critical drugs, and in view of the cooperation between SFDA Drug Sector and European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMA), a Two- day workshop was organized to train SFDA Drug Evaluation personnel on evaluation of drugs files
The workshop was opened by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO –SFDA and participated by Dr. Fal Ahmen and Dr. Quid Hue from EMA and addressed three key dimensions covering the quality of drug products, EU & GCC Drug Regulations and other technical and professional issues.

Meeting for f human beings, herbal and veterinary Drug Companies and Agents in Jeddah on 29/5/1432H with the purpose of awareness of all concerned drug importers and manufacturers of the new mechanisms and regulations established by SFDA, upon taking over drug control function, recently.

In line with SFDA Drug Sector concerns regarding creation of standard Drug Pricing mechanism for GCC countries, Drug Sector had participated in the 2nd. Meeting of GCC Drug Pricing Task Force, held in Kuwait during the period 11-12 Rabi II,1432H. SFDA was represented in this meeting by H.E Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Bawazir, Vice President for Drug Affairs and Pricing Unit executives
